Increased functionality and timeless beauty are exactly what this main floor renovation project gave these homeowners in Stratford. With a dated floor plan that kept spaces separate and décor that was old enough to come back into style this home was due for an overhaul!

The homeowners wanted to join the kitchen to the living space to create a more connected, cohesive space. Relocating appliances and most of a kitchen isn’t straightforward, yet these challenges presented opportunities to re-imagine the space for the better. This was achieved by removing the partition wall and adding a large, central island as a focal point.

Installing new flooring throughout the main floor further connected the rooms to each other. Opting for full height upper cabinets complete with crown moulding increased storage space while eliminating the need for unsightly bulkheads.
This renovation would not have been complete without the beautifully stained contemporary wood handrails and stairs leading to the other floors. A perfect segway to further renovations and updates!
